Pre-Advice Services An applicant for a letter of credit may obtain a pre-advice of issue and/or revision from the issuing bank. Typically, a pre-advice will be tagged with a note like "complete information to follow." The issuing bank is obligated, unless otherwise specified, by the pre-advice to issue or modify the credit in accordance with it.
